A Note about this page

It was my desire to honor our flag, as I started putting this page together, So much more came out, So this page will not only honor the United States Flag, It will also be a bit of honor, For our Service Personal, God, and our Country.  So you might be surprised by what is found here. I hope you enjoy, And please Know that it is perfectly ok to disagree with me about any of my notes or comments, America is a free county thanks to all the Men and Women who wear a uniform and protect that freedom. No matter what you believe politically Support our Men and Women who protect our life's and freedom every day. Please enjoy this page, It is very long and has a lot to say; I guess you can say my American Pride is showing very strong in this one.

With that being said, First things First, Please place your hand over your heart and repeat....

I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

It is my right as an American to say this pledge, and I refuse to have it taken away, if it offends you I am sorry, turn away or just keep quiet while those who believe in this flag and this country can honor and respect it.

RAGGED OLD FLAG

I walked through a county courthouse square, On a park bench an old man was sitting there. I said, "Your old courthouse is kinda run down." He said, "Naw, it'll do for our little town." I said, "Your flagpole has leaned a little bit, And that's a Ragged Old Flag you got hanging on it. He said, "Have a seat", and I sat down. "Is this the first time you've been to our little town?" I said, "I think it is." He said, "I don't like to brag, But we're kinda proud of that Ragged Old Flag." "You see, we got a little hole in that flag there When Washington took it across the Delaware. And it got powder-burned the night Francis Scott Key Sat watching it writing _Oh Say Can You See_. And it got a bad rip in New Orleans With Packingham and Jackson tuggin' at its seams." "And it almost fell at the Alamo Beside the Texas flag, but she waved on through. She got cut with a sword at Chancellorsville, And she got cut again at Shiloh Hill. There was Robert E. Lee, Beauregard, and Bragg, And the south wind blew hard on that Ragged Old Flag." "On Flanders Field in World War I, She got a big hole from a Bertha gun. She turned blood red in World War II, She hung limp and low by the time it was through. She was in Korea and Vietnam. She went where she was sent by her Uncle Sam." "She waved from our ships upon the briny foam, And now they've about quit waving her back here at home. In her own good land she's been abused -- She's been burned, dishonored, denied and refused." "And the government for which she stands, Is scandalized throughout the land. And she's getting threadbare and wearing thin, But she's in good shape for the shape she's in. 'Cause she's been through the fire before, And I believe she can take a whole lot more." "So we raise her up every morning, Take her down every night. We don't let her touch the ground And we fold her up right.
On second thought I DO like to brag,

'Cause I'm mighty proud of that Ragged Old Flag."

Believing in God and Prayer

Like every single person in the world, I sometimes have the question of Why in my mind, Only He knows why, and that is good enough for me.

There are many times when I feel low and wonder if I have even one friend in the world, It was then that I picked up my Bible and I dropped it not once but, several times, and each time it opened to a chapter that I really needed to read When you read it below, I hope it help you to feel like it did me, that we are never alone and always have a hand reaching out to us, we just have to reach back.

Psalms 27

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear ? The LORD is the stronghold of my life;  of whom shall I be afraid ?  When evildoers assail me to devour my flesh my adversaries and foes they shall stumble and fall. Though an army encamp against me,  my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident.  One thing I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD,  and to inquire in his temple. For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will set me high on a rock. Now my head is lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the LORD. Hear, O LORD, when I cry aloud, be gracious to me and answer me ! "Come," my heart says, "seek his face !" Your face, LORD, do I seek. Do not hide your face from me. Do not turn your servant away in anger, you who have been my help. Do not cast me off, do not forsake me, O God of my salvation !  If my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will take me up. Teach me your way, O LORD,  and lead me on a level path because of my enemies. Do not give me up to the will of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen against me, and they are breathing out violence. I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!
