Dreams Come True
I was thinking of my darling
When a knock came to my door
When I looked my eyes grew brighter
For I saw him there once more
His eyes were just the same
As they were in days gone by
But, his hair had grown much whiter
Since we said our last goodbye’s
I still could not believe it
For so many years had passed
He softly spoke then to me
And I could believe my eyes at last
Then he put his arms around me
And we both began to cry
For we knew the time we wasted
And how many years gone by
Yes we are both much older
And part of our dreams are gone
But the rest we’ll live together
Till God call us to our Home
